What Is Aswaaqo? The Pakistani App to Order From Shops Near You and Sell Online

Written by Content Manager, Aswaaqo Team · · Updated · 4 min read

In short

Aswaaqo is a Pakistani app and website that connects people with local shops near them. Customers order groceries, food, medicine and more for delivery, pickup or in store and pay cash. Shop owners get a free store page plus tools for orders, POS billing, digital khata (udhar), expenses, offers and delivery riders.

Aswaaqo is a Pakistani platform whose name comes from the Arabic word aswaq (أسواق), meaning "markets" — the plural of souq (سوق), the word for a bazaar that people across Pakistan already know. The idea is simple: all the markets around you, in one app. Aswaaqo is a platform that brings the shops in your area online. It has two sides: an app and website where customers order from local shops near them, and a set of business tools where shop owners sell online and run their shop from one phone.

What can customers do on Aswaaqo?

If you live in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, Peshawar or any other city, Aswaaqo shows you the shops around you — not a far-away warehouse.

  • Find shops near you. Search by name, browse categories, or turn on Near me to see places within 15 km.
  • Order three ways. Delivery to your door, Pickup from the shop, or In-Store while you are standing at the counter.
  • Pay cash. Pay the rider on delivery or pay at the shop. No card needed.
  • Track live. See the rider on a map with the expected time, and call them if needed.
  • Chat with the shop. Ask about price, stock or a product before you buy — with text, photos or voice notes.
  • Use vouchers. Shops and Aswaaqo send vouchers that you apply at checkout.

How does Aswaaqo work, step by step?

  1. A business creates a listing with its name, category, location, phone and opening hours. It goes live quickly.
  2. Aswaaqo displays it cleanly with a profile page, live map, products and ratings.
  3. Customers discover and order — or call, chat and get directions.
  4. The shop accepts the order, prepares it and either hands it over or sends a rider.
  5. The customer gives a 4-digit order code to complete it, so orders cannot be marked done by mistake.

Is Aswaaqo safe and trustworthy?

Businesses can earn a verified badge by submitting their CNIC, which the Aswaaqo team checks by hand. Customers sign in with a Pakistani mobile number and a one-time code, and every order shows the shop's reviews from real buyers. Learn more in how to get the verified badge.

How is Aswaaqo different from big online marketplaces?

Big marketplaces ship products from warehouses across the country. Aswaaqo is built around the shops already in your neighbourhood — the kiryana store, the bakery, the pharmacy, the restaurant down the road — so orders arrive faster, you can pick up on the way home, and the money stays with local businesses.
