How to Start Home Delivery for Your Shop or Restaurant in Pakistan

Written by Content Manager, Aswaaqo Team · · Updated · 2 min read

In short

To start home delivery for your shop in Pakistan, decide the area you can reach in 30–45 minutes, set a delivery fee for each zone, and have one or two riders install the Aswaaqo Delivery app and join your business. Customers then order with cash on delivery, you assign a rider, and both you and the customer track them live.

Customers increasingly ask one question before ordering: "Delivery hai?" Offering home delivery can bring in orders from people who would never walk to your shop. You don't need a courier company — just a plan, one rider and the right app.

Step 1: Decide your delivery area

Start small. Pick the area a rider can reach in 30–45 minutes in traffic. For a kiryana store that might be 2–3 km; for a restaurant, 5 km. You can always expand.

Step 2: Set delivery zones and fees

On Aswaaqo, open the Delivery tab and add zones. Each zone has:

  • a radius around your shop,
  • a fee, and
  • an estimated time.
Example zoneRadiusFeeTime

Wider area5 kmHigher35–45 min

Step 3: Add your riders

  1. Your rider installs the Aswaaqo Delivery app.
  2. They request to join your business.
  3. You approve them in the Delivery tab.
  4. Turn delivery on. (At least one rider is needed.)

Step 4: Handle delivery orders

  1. A delivery order arrives in Orders with a timer — accept it.
  2. Update the status while you prepare it.
  3. When it's ready, tap Assign Delivery Boy.
  4. The rider picks it up; the customer watches them live on the map.
  5. At the door the customer pays cash and gives the 4-digit order code, which completes the order.

Common delivery problems and fixes

  • Late deliveries: shrink the zone or raise the estimated time — honest times earn better reviews.
  • Cash mismatch: settle cash with riders at the end of every shift.
  • Wrong address: customers drop a pin on the map at checkout, so riders navigate to the exact spot; the rider can also call.
  • Rush hours: keep a second rider on call for evenings and weekends.

Pickup: the zero-cost alternative

Not ready for riders? Offer Pickup and In-Store orders first. Customers order ahead and collect — no delivery fee, no rider needed.

No. On Aswaaqo you use your own riders. They install the Aswaaqo Delivery app and request to join your business; you approve them in the Delivery tab.

How do I set delivery charges?

In the Delivery tab add delivery zones, each with a radius, a fee and an estimated time. You can also offer free delivery above a certain order amount.

How many riders do I need?

You need at least one rider to turn delivery on. Most small shops start with one or two and add more at busy times.

Can customers track the rider?
